With the rapid development of industrialization, the demand of the energy is getting larger and larger which has destroyed the environment. Photocatalytsis technique have advantages such as using the solar energy that it won’t create any pollution. It can be widely used in new energy and environmental restoration. Now, energy deficiency and environment pollution are two prominent global problems, photocatalytsis technique is one of ideal way to solve them. There are so many semiconductor catalyst, TiO2 is extensively used for its good performance on non-toxic and cheap with chemical stability, good photocatalytic activity and strong oxidation. This paper mainly focuses on photocatalysis water splitting performance of TiO2 modified by cocatalysts. cocatalyst can facilitate the reaction by effectively inhibit recombination of photoproduction electrons and holes on the surface the catalyst and decrease the reduction potential. In this paper an automated test system has been developed to photocatalytic water splitting which ensure the accuracy of system. And t his paper also focuses on MoS2 and Co3O4 cocatalyst, which studying influence the photocatalytic water splitting activity of titanium dioxide. The major contents and consequence of this thesis are summarized as following:(1)In the preceding work of our project group, an automated test photocatalytic water splitting product system has been developed which automatically collect, online analysis testing, automatic data logging and high test accuracy. This has laid a solid foundation for the photocatalytic water splitting study;(2)With 0.2wt% MoS2/P25 were prepared by impregnation method. Under same conditions(0.2wt%), MoS2/P25 photocatalyst have higher photo- catalytic activity which using thiourea dioxide as sulfur source;(3)Using thiourea dioxide as sulfur source, with 1wt% MoS2/P25 were prepared by impregnation method showed the maximum photocatalytic activity for water splitting. The produced hydrogen were about 388.99 μ molh-1g-1, which has exceeded 9 times of P25;(4)The MoS2/P25 photocatalyst electrochemistry test show that MoS2 can facilitate the reaction by effectively inhibit recombination of photoproduction electrons and holes on the surface the catalyst and decrease the reduction potential;( 5) Using benzyl alcohol and P25 as source materials were prepared carbon-coated TiO2 nanoribbon. With 0.3wt% Co3O4/TiO2 were prepared by Photodeposition method, which using cobalt nitrate, sodium iodate and carbon-coated TiO2 nanoribbon as source materials. The 0.3wt% Co3O4/TiO2 showed the maximum photocatalytic activity for water splitting.
