IIn the actual process, the elongate shaft of variable cross-section is inclined to radial deformation in virtue of its own stiffness. However, processing precision of axis often demands stringent specification. The traditional electrolysis is difficult to achieve precision requirements, so we cannot apply the conventional method of electrolytic grinding in processing. A technological method has been proposed to the problem of the elongate shaft of variable cross-section’s mutability--follow electrode electrolytic grinding process. This thesis designed a new processing method on the basis of the existent one, that is changeable load following electrode electrolytic grinding.What’s more, this article analyzed the typical component of elongate shaft of variable cross-section. This thesis makes a study of several parts, including the theory, mechanical model, the simulation and experimental verification.Firstly, this thesis summarized the development and application of electrolytic process technology at home and abroad, elaborates the basic principles and characteristics of electrochemical machining, and systematically analyzed the factors which influence the machining accuracy. The two kinds of processing methods are expounded in theory, and then this thesis mainly research object head component by virtue of establishing electrolytic grinding mechanics model with mechanics analysis.Secondly,using the finite element software ANSYS Workbench simulation analysis plug part,deformation rule and stress changes of workpiece is analyzed, through follow electrode and changing load follow electrode technology,and compare with two kinds of simulation results.this paper get displacement maximum deformation from 27.9um down to 9.8um, the maximum stress was reduced from 25.4MPa to 22.4MPa, which greatly improves the machining accuracy.the variable load force has analyzed and selected through the moment dynamics model simulation analysis,when it difference with radial force of grinding in 4N,the processing precision of variable load follow electrode electrolytic grinding is the highest.Lastly, considering the main factors affecting the machining quality factor is the components speed Vw, vertical feed rate Vf and the grinding depth ap, therefore, optimizing analysis of the orthogonal experiment is used in this thesis to find variable load process can achieve high precision when the components rotation speed is 240 r/min, longitudinal feed speed 0.140 mm/r, grinding depth 0.025 mm. The results of the test shows that the scheme is feasible.
