Isa furnace conformed to the industrial environmental requirements, and Isa furnace is a melting furnace which has a leading of smelting technology in the world. Isa furnace has the characteristic of compact structure, fast response, good adaptability, highly melting rate, and better secondary energy efficiency. Copper smelting is a complex process of high-temperature and heterogeneous physical and chemical changes. It has a multi-variable, nonlinear, strong coupling and uncertainty, ect. Therefore, Isa furnace is the indispensable important copper melting equipment in the process of industry production, and occupies a very important position in the enterprise production.Temperature control is an important control parameter in the field of industrial processes, and it also has a very important position in the industrial automation control. Temperature control is widely used in the field of electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, paper making and food, etc. Temperature control of Isa furnace smelting has a vital effect in copper smelting, and it also is a kind of typical object of temperature control. The dynamic characteristic of the temperature of Isa furnace often has the characteristic of great inertia, great lag and nonlinear, therefore, it has a difficult to establish accurate mathematical model. Using the traditional PID control method, but, due to the low control precision, the control effect of this method is not very ideal. Therefore, designing a practical and efficient control method has a very practical significance which is based on temperature control of Isa furnace and it make the control system has characteristic of high stability, less overshoot and short adjust time.This paper presents the method that it combines the typical PID control and fuzzy control, and we designed a fuzzy adaptive PID control base on that method. The kind of control algorithm not only has the characteristic of high control precision, but also has the characteristic of well-flexibility and well-adapted. In the Matlab software, we respectively to design of the system which based on typical PID control algorithm, fuzzy control algorithm and fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm. Through the several comparing simulation results, we know that the fuzzy adaptive PID control method has a prominent effect in the aspect of system control. The experimental results show that the adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm can control the temperature of melting more quickly and more efficiently. In order to apply the design in the actual industrial production better, this article also design the DCS system of ISA furnace based on S7-300 and WinCC. The real-time data on-site process, control processs of ISA furnace melting is displayed on the system interface based on WinCC industrial control software platform, which has laid a good foundation for the realization of industrial control systems.
