Since 1980s, our country electric power industry development by leaps and bounds, became the world’s electricity production and consumption power. Thermal power enterprise energy consumption and environmental pollution, there are large amounts of solid waste produced during the production process, including fly ash and clinker, desulfurization gypsum and other. As growing electricity demand in the society, and thermal power enterprises generated solid waste from is also increasing, resulting from adverse environmental impacts is also increasing too. If these solid waste random stacking, not only takes up a lot of land, but also bring secondary pollution. These solid waste for the unified management and realize economic resources recycling has become a problem of the Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd. Baotou generation branch. Therefore, design and implement the solid waste logistics system has become the important way to solve this problem.This paper introduces the thermal power enterprise sources of solid waste classification and properties, overview of thermal power enterprises of environmental pollution by solid waste and comprehensive utilization of effective measures, analyzes the Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd. Baotou generation branch situation of solid waste management and related issues, determine the necessity of the solid waste logistics system design. By analyzing the company’s ERP system and the specific requirements of the material management in SAP system, propose solid waste logistics system design scheme which can be embedded in ERP system, and designing a solid castoff logistics system trial version. Through the practical application of the system, there has great significance such as improving solid waste management practices, improve the ability of resource recycling, strengthen the work of enterprise information management, resolving the operating costs and environmental cost for solid waste disposal,etc.
