This paper studies the mesoporous silica nanoparticles as the additive in the ester oil and the main research content and the results are as follows:1) The Synthesis of Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles and the Structure CharacterizationMesoporous silica nanoparticles was prepared by using tetraethyl silicate as precursor, hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide as the template agent, triethanolamine as catalyst. Then the product was washed by alcohol to remove the template agent. The structure and property of the sample were characterized by a variety of modern test instruments. Particles morphology and size of mesoporous silica nanoparticles were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM). X-ray powder diffraction spectroscope(XRD) showed the crystal structure of the sample. The pore structure, specific surface and pore size distribution were characterized by the Nitrogen Adsorption and Stripping Analysis. Results show that the obtained products was spherical particle, its particle size was about 30 nm, its mesoporous structure was disordered and its specific surface was 112 m2/g.2) The Antioxidant Performance Study of Mesoporous Silica NanoparticlesThe antioxidant performance of mesoporous silica nanoparticles as an ester oil additive was tested by using rotary oxygen bomb test and differential scanning calorimetry analysis and flask oxidation methods. And the results showed that the mesoporous silica nanoparticles had no antioxidant effect, but it can inhibit the color change degree of the oxidative oil to some extent.3) The Synergy Research of Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles and Traditional AntioxidantsThe antioxidant synergy between mesoporous silica nanoparticles and the traditional antioxidant was tested by using rotary oxygen bomb test and differential scanning calorimetry analysis and oven oxidation methods. Results showed that the mesoporous silica nanoparticles and the traditional antioxidant T512 and T203 had a certain antioxidant synergy effect.4) The Tribology Performance Study of Mesoporous Silica NanoparticlesThe tribological behaviors of mesoporous silica nanoparticles as additives in sebacate diisooctyl(Dios), trimellitic acid ester(1938) and trimethylolpropane oleic acid ester(1427) were evaluated with a four-ball tribometer. The results showed that mesoporous silica nanoparticles can be dispersed in ester oils,even though the dispersion stability was not good. At the same time,the product had no antifriction effect in the ester oil, but it could improve the antiwear performance to some extent.
