Metal-organic frameworks have captured more and more attention as a series of functional materials. Based on the abundant topological structure and the regulatory size, they have potential application value on fluorescence, chiral separation, asymmetrical catalysis, gas storage, selective adsorption, and magnetic field. Rigid carboxylic acid ligands have multiple sites so that the structure of these complexes are more stable. This paper chooses tris(m- carboxylphenyl) phosphine oxide as the main ligand, and the study of structure and properties of the complexes are as follows:Six new complexes are synthesized via tris(m- carboxylphenyl) phosphine oxide, 4, 4’-bipyridy and 4, 4’-trimethylenedipyridine. They are [M6(TPO)4(dpp)2]n·3n H2O{M=Cd(1),Mn(2)}; [M2(TPO)2(dpp)·3H2O]{M=Co(3),Ni(4)}; [M2(TPO)2(4, 4’-bipy)2·2H2O]n·2n H2O{M=Co(5),Ni(6)}[TPO=tris(m-carboxylphenyl) phosphine oxide, dpp=4, 4’-trimethylenedipyridine, 4, 4’-bipy=4, 4’-bipyridy]. These complexes are characterized by crystal structure, IR and thermosgravimetric analysis, then the luminescent of complex 1 and magnetic of complexes 5, 6 are studied in the solid state.Eight new complexes are obtained in hydrothermal condition, useing tris(m-carboxylphenyl)phosphine oxide ligand, 2, 2’-bipyridine and 5, 5’-dimethyl-2, 2’-bipyridine, namely, [M(TPO)(2, 2’-bipy)]n{M=Cd(7)Zn(8)}; [Cd2(TPO)2(bmbpy)2·H2O]n·2n H2O(9); [Zn(TPO)(bmbpy)]n(10); [Mn(H3BPO)(2,2’-bipy)]n(11); [Mn(H3BPO)(bmbpy)]n(12); [Cu2(H3BPO)2(bmbpy)2·2H2O]n(13); [Pb(TPO)(bmbpy)·H2O]n(14)[TPO=tris(m-carboxylphenyl)phosphine oxide, H3BPO=3, 3’-(hydroxyphosphoryl)dibenzoic acid, 2, 2’-bipy=2, 2’-bipyridine, bmbpy=5, 5’-dimethyl-2, 2’-bipyridine]. Furthermore, crystal structure, IR and thermal stabilities properties of all the compounds and the luminescent of complex 7, 8, 9, 10, 14 are investigated.Three novel complexes are achieved by tris(m-carboxylphenyl) phosphine oxide and 1, 10-Phenanthroline hydrate in hydrothermal condition, namely, [Mn(TPO)(phen)]n·n H2O(15); [Cu2(BPO)2(phen)2·H2O]n·2n H2O(16); [Pb(TPO)(phen)]n·n H2O(17) [TPO=tris(m-carboxylphenyl) phosphine oxide, H3BPO=3, 3’-(hydroxyphosp Horyl)dibenzoic acid, phen=1, 10-Phenanthroline]. In addition, crystal structure, IR and thermal stabilities of compounds are investigated. The luminescent of complex 17 and magnetic property of complex 15 are studied in the solid state.
