The tailing retriving process of Gong Changling Mineral processing plant has been discussed in this paper to find the cause that stop its concentrate grade from increasing.After that,with the analysis of processing circuit and the mineralogical reaserch to the tailing,the new Processing project is put forward to improve the concentrade grade from 60% to 65%.The results of the experimental reaserch show that the pulp density and the grade in each step of the circuit fluctuate widly.It is no doubt that this fluctuation will impedes the tetrivtion of the valuable minerals in the tailing.At the same time,the grinding efficiency is very low,which leads to the coarse grain that is very popular in the process.So the material must be grinded finely to make sure the liberation degree.The mineralogical reaserchs also has been made to confirm the chemic composition, the material kinds and structure.The results show that the Ferrum in the the materials appears mostly as Magnetite and Hematite.Most of the gangue in the tailing compose of quartz.there are too many coarses in the material.the liberation degree of the coarse is too low.The reasons that stop the concentrade grade from increasing have been found out by the reaserch and the experiment.And the concentrade grade has been improved to more than 67%. At the same time, the grinding process is also analysised in this paper, which surely will make a good effort to the modification in the future.
