With the development of steel industry, metallurgical production requires the use of high-grade iron, uniform particle size of iron ore pellets. Binder selection will directly affect the pellets into a ball performance and product quality, the study of new adhesive pellets can solve the problem of lack of high-quality iron ore resources and iron and steel production efficiency. MgO sinter need to provide all needed for the production of blast furnace, if part of the MgO transferred to be provided by the pellets, not only to improve the metallurgical properties of the pellets, but also ease the pressure faced by sintering, so as to achieve sinter and win pellet quality. To replace conventional organic composite binder bentonite and pellet made of a composite binder prepared by adding light burning magnesium powder and magnesium powder as magnesia additive, which can serve to improve pellet quality, reduce harmful Si impurity content, the particle size, surface area, thermal analysis and pelletizing experiments to finalize the large magnetic and magnetic bow two kinds of iron ore fines. Firing test to finalize a suitable magnesium-based pellet firing temperature1300 ℃, duration 12 min. Composite binder prepared pellets containing magnesia expansion rate to decline compared with conventional bentonite pellets. The initial softening temperature of the composite binder containing magnesia additive pellets than conventional bentonite pellets to be high, and with the increase of magnesia content of the tendency to increase, adding magnesia component can enhance the soft pellets melting performance.By comparing the different proportions of light burning magnesium powder and magnesite powder pellets made, the performance indicators, the study of organic compound magnesia binder and bentonite binder component, reduction expansion and reflow performance, and then looking for the light burning magnesium powder and magnesite powder composition ratio.
