With the development of steel industry, high alumina ore which isdifficult to smelt, begin to come into the sight of steel enterprises. Inorder to solve the drop in slag liquidity coursed by the increase of Al2O3content, domestic and foreign research thought that the MgO content inblast funace burden should be increased. In this thesis, it analysis data andliterature and come up with a view of adding the MgO in pellet,producting magnesia pellet.In this thesis, it uses magnesia betonite to produce magnesia pellet, andthen reach the purpose of improving the burden structure and slagliquidity. By compareing the difference between ordinary pellet andmagnesia pellets, studying how the dosage of magnesia bentonite, andthen finding a suitable dosage of magnesia pellet for the magnesia pellets.By comparing the strength and microstrueture of magnesia pellet indifferent roasting system,to find a suitable roasting system for magnesiapellet. Finally, studying how the magnesia pellet effect on the burdenstructure.Comparing the results of different radio of magnesia pellet’sperformance test, it shows that: compared with ordinary pellet, magnesiapellet’s strength going down, but with the increase of the dosage ofmagnesia bentonite the strength of pellets increased. But magnesiapellet’s metallurgical performance is much better than ordinary pellet.Comparing the strength and microstrueture of magnesia pellet indifferent calcinations system, it shows that: To the magnesiapellet(4.5%),the best preheating time is12minutes and the best roastingtime is12minutes, the best preheating temperature is960℃and the bestroasting temperate is1300℃.In this thesis, it analysis the relationship between magnesia pellet’selement and metallurgical performance, it shows that: Keeping thecontent of MgO in furnace burden, using magnesia pellet will improvethe grade of burden structure. Using magnesia pellet will narrow thecohesive zone range of the blast furnace, and the improve thebreathability of the blast furnace. Keeping the content of MgO in sinterconstant, using magnesia pellet will increase the content of MgO in furnace burden, and then improve the slag’s liquidy.
