This thesis deals with the decreasing of coke and energy consumption of the BF of the Chao Yang Iron and Steel Coopera tion especially the No1 BF. According to the coke consumption ratio and conditions of the No.1 BF’s production, with extensive investigation and plant tests, combining with experience of operating and managing the No.1BF of the Chao Yang Iron and Steel Coperation, the author has discussed the relationship between the No.1 BF’s operation and technical management with the coke and energy saving systematically. Based on theoretical study and practical operation, by analyzing the collected production data, a com parison study has been made. With The management of raw material and fuel into the furnace and The adjustment of charging system, Optimization of slag and heat systems have been proposed, with which tremendous decreasing of coke and energy has been achieved in the No.1 BF of the Chao Yang Iron and Steel Cooperation, remarkable economic benefits has been achieved.
