As the 4th generation disinfectant, C102hasanperfect bactericidal properties. It is Class A1 broad-spectrum, effective disinfectant and very safe recommended by the World Health Organization (WTO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).The amount of use in areas such as water treatment and disinfection is growing. In the paper industry, ClO2 is a low cost, high stability of the pulp bleaching agent, and has not found its substitute yet. ClO2 can decompose rapidly when encountering water to produce a variety of strong oxidants, such as Cl2, HClO3,HClO, HClO2,O3, H2O2, etc. Mixture of these oxides could produce a variety of active genes(free radicals) which hasstrong oxidizing, so they can decompose the organic matters completely. It is also capable of oxidizing the reducing substances such as S2O32-, SO32-, NO2-, CN-, SbO32- reducing its emission concentrations.Now the preparation of ClO2 include chemical and conventional electrolysis process in two ways. Production of ClO2 by chemical method have been developed dozens of species after years of development, using in a wide range. Common methods are made by H2SO4、SO2、CH3OH,etc. allbasically deoxygenate the chlorate at the present of strong acid. Electrolytic process of ClO2 production is mainly based on three sectionof salt water electrolysis, preparation of ClO2 solution, synthesis of HC1, that we oftenname itas the integrated synthesis processof ClO2. H2 is provided by salt electrolytic section for synthesis of HC1, strong sodium chlorate saline solution provided forsynthesis of C102;Synthesis of HCl provides 32% hydrochloric acid to chlorine dioxide section; Synthesis of ClO2 section consume concentrated sodium chlorine dioxide to generate C102,Cl2which could be provided for synthesis of HCl, and the residue after the reaction returnedto the sodium chlorate electrolysis section. Does not need special reducer is the advantage of thisprogress, sodium chlorate and hydrochloric acid will reactdirectly. Residue after the reaction returns to cell electrolyteto be made strong sodium chlorate solution, chlorine gas extracts to hydrochloric acid synthetic furnace. The progress has high reaction efficiency, large production capacity, has no solid waste, fewer maintenance cost, stable operation, etc. In this paper, the development of engineering, the author designed the chlorine dioxide production equipment onthe base of chlorine dioxide generated reaction kinetics research, also complete a set of synthetic method of chlorine dioxide production technology process package through the process of the research, the design we did of auxiliary equipment, the key parameters ofthe automaticcontrolling design.
