In recent years, the rapid development of new energy led to the rapid rise in the electrolyte electrolyte production industry.In production, water control is the core technology,it directly affects the performance of the final product of the electrolyte, thus further influence the future cell function. An electrolyte manufacturers took the lead in the use of double cone rotary vacuum dryer for drying of electrolyte basedmaterial (liclo4)and achieved certain results.Not long ago, the accident in the prod uction of electrolytic workshop caused huge economiclosses. This paper will be the accident investigation as the starting point, simply find the cause of the accident. Mainly carried out the following work:1、Surveing field equipment and material residue,we concluded that the causes of the accident. After the survey site residues, we initially fo undthat dumping of double cone dryer and burning of temperature contr ol table white powder material was left. The instrument determines that the white powder material was the lithium chlorate and other items. The lithium perchlorate was decomposed at high temperature, producing the lithiumchlorate and oxygen.2、The double cone rotary dryer was analyzed.Using the software SW6-98,we calculated the oxygen made double cone dryer outlet cover collapser when lithium perchlorate occur in high-temperature.It was also verified by the double cone out mouth with double cone dryer not toge ther, so the preliminary determination for the double cone rotary dryer in lithium perchlorate high temperature decomposition due to produce large amounts of oxygen resulting overpressure of equipment, dischargi ng covercollapse produces a spark that ignites the site material, finally 1 ead to the occurrence of combustion and explosion scene.3、In order to verify the above argument, the heating temperature control meter verification test was carried out.Repeat heating and cooli ng test with a piece of the same new temperature control meter, we fo und that the meter could not cut off when it reached temperature 7 tim es in the continuous working 24 hours.Thus we can prove that, the acci dent was due to the failure of double cone dryer temperature control meter. It lead to rising to lithium perchlorate decomposition temperature, the lithium perchlorate produced mass of oxygen, which resulting in fail ure of double cone dryer and producing a spark that ignites the site material, finally causing the site to combustion explosion.4、According to the accident conclusion, we need to redesign the process of lithium perchlorate dehydration drying. Respectively, we desig ned verification from the oil bath heating, steam heating and electrichea ting. Especially the design of double sheet control inelectrical heating way, it can aviod the phenomenon of temperature running away again because of the thermostat failure.5、Finally we found the optimization and upgrading scheme of reas on and new technology form the accident. Using oil bath or steam heat ing and the use of electric heating double sheet control can meet the re quirements.The article can warn danger point in production and learn to ensure the bipolar control in core technology position. We must avoid the occurrence of safety accidents caused by instrument equipment and material damage.
