In the late 20th century, the Chinese footwear production volume and export volume has reached the first in the world surface sizing effect with cationic dispersed rosin size. China has become the world’s center of footwear processing and marketing. But, there is a clear lack of product development methods, development processes confusion in the Chinese footwear manufacturing industry. This causes the following problems Chinese footwear industry:the lack of capacity to generate innovation, brand recognition is not high, the lack of high-end products. Shoes arevpackaging products for person, its shape carrying shoes as a useful thing most of the functions. Especially in the rich material conditions of contemporary society, people pursue the appearance of shoes become multi-faceted and deep-seated.And,footwear shape determine the extent of innovation and improvement of enterprises in product development. Computer-aided industrial design (CAID) technology bring progressive change to footwear shape design is the key of this paper. Research goal is to develop a complete design system in the computer-aided design and footwear shape design combines, and as a basis for research CAID bring progressive performance to footwear development.meanwhile, research CAID application in the footwear shape design process.Design methodology is the theoretical basis of this paper, combined with the historical background, research footwear design system and CAID. Research the key features, the specific content, the trends of footwear design and CAID. Summarizes research status of CAID helping footwear design. In particular, summed up the domestic shortcomings in this area and analyzed the reasons.Industrial design disciplines theoretical knowledge is the basis of this paper. The writer build a footwear design system after CAID entered. Writer determine the design idea is "people-oriented design", the main design methods is "System Design" and "co-design", The design process is "footwear design information collection→ footwear shape conceptual design→footwear design program performance→footwear shape design conveying→footwear design evaluation."At the same time, to determine the "human-oriented" design tendencies, the CAID judged as a character design aids.This paper presents the development of post-CAID intervention footwear design patterns and processes to bring three of progressive change in footwear design system model:Changes in meet the demand to improve user participation; Changes in product sales from footwear to footwear design sale; Changes in the closed process to the open development process. And, learn from other industries or areas of examples to demonstrate their progress and feasibility.This paper will apply the advantages summarized of CAID as an auxiliary tool designed specifically footwear design process:Enhance the efficiency of information exchange; Expand the scope of information exchange; Improved information exchange and expression; Take the quantitative analysis methods app into the footwear shape design. At the same time, The writer set up a practice as an example of an auxiliary analog topic to study.
