The global footwear market,characterized by frequent variations and instability,reflects the propensities that will affect the world in the coming years.It is axiomatic that global footwear market is notorious for its so called"cheap" labor.China remains to dominate almost every sector of footwear like manufacturing,consuming,and exporting across the world.It is also claimed that Vietnam has taken the vantage of US-China conflicting relationship and stepped up its footwear exports to capture the dominating business of China.Meanwhile,Europe and USA are controlling the world’s footwear import market.This two biggest footwear market are very competitive and diversified,with all ambitious exporting countries trying to capture and penetrate this challenging market.My study focused on Global footwear industry and its market analysis.For the case study,we focused on the leading countries of footwear industry in the world.The main purpose of this research is to analyze the position of relevant countries of the footwear sector in terms of the different variables and evaluate the strategic advantages and disadvantages of the different sector players.The study also examines the position of China’s mainland and its top trade partners over the last twelve years in the context of international trade and determines how to enhance the competitiveness of exports from the sector.The study is basically data-driven and the data is collected from different authentic sources like UN Comtrade,WTO,and International Trade Centre(ITC).For exploring the global footwear market condition,we are analyzing last twelve years data,from 2007 to 2018 period.The main contribution of this study is to discuss every footwear product groups in one article and also consider the competitiveness of every six categories footwear in world market. |
