Coal production efficiency has been improving,with continuous improvement of the mechanization of coal production and innovation of mining exploitation technology, exploitation of mine toward yield, intensive production direction,but growing the mining face dust production, increases the difficulty of mine dust control.Coal dust has serious threat on mine safety and health of miners. In order to reduce the concentration of dust in the air underground, improve the working environment, over the coal mine water, spray dust, dust exhaust ventilation, dust removal, chemical dust and other dust control techniques widely used at home and abroad, in which spray dust was the most common kind of dust-proof technology.However, the effect of dust is poor by spray dust with current technology of coal mine, especially the low efficiency of respirable dust. There is great significance to carry out in-depth research on spraying dust technology, to improve the underground working environment, to ensure safety in coal mines.This paper has researched the factors of dust nozzle atomization characteristics and efficiency factors by experimental methods on the self-designed coal mine dust suppression device performance test platform.Combined the nozzle atomization characteristics of experimental tests with theoretical analysis, knew the law that the spray pressure how to effect influence of spraying, spray angle, range of three different atomization nozzle commonly used in mine. Namely the structure of a particular nozzle, with the spray pressure increased, atomization nozzle diameter thinned, droplet particle size distribution increased, atomization had been significantly improved. While spray angle, spray flow rate of the nozzle increased accordingly, so as to the effective range of the spray. All this were in favor of spray dust;the paper obtained that swirl vane type nozzle was the best among the three by experimentally analyzed the impact of the spray characteristics on the structure and pore size of the nozzle.It knew that the efficiency of spray dust could be improved, especially to respirable dust by improving water pressure,by experimental test the effect of spray dust under a variety of working conditions; it also investigated the effect of the structure, the pore size, spray volume and the roadway dust concentration in the air and size distribution of dust,wind speed of roadway on spray dust. Comprehensive experimental analysis recommended that swirl vane type nozzle with pore size of 1.2mm or 1.5mm in coal mine, spraying pressure to 8MPa, the efficiency of spraying dust could achieve better result.Dust used in experimental studies in the article was coal dust.The research results of spraying dust can not only be used to guide the coal face and coal road heading face technical work, but also other dust has certain reference value.
