In order to find the effective way to solve the problem about rubber to metal bonding, some works have been carried out on the development of adhesives all over the world since 1970 s, that is a new type adhesive which can give the better bonding strength, high temperature resistant and environmental resistant.Based on this research background and the internal product formulation, we focus on the modified resole resin and research its effect in adhesive. The results show that in the solvent-based rubber to metal bonding agent, modified resole resin can improve the average bonding strength, high temperature resistant and environmental resistant.We find that average bonding strength can be increased by10%, high temperature resistant can be increased by 20% and dynamic state resistant can be increased by10%.As a conclusion, based on the commercialized product, the new type rubber to metal bonding agent has the better bonding strength, high temperature resistant and dynamic state resistant. And it can be used in rubber-metal bonding area properly to improve the quality of the end products better.
