Inhalable particulate matter is one of the most important indicators of air quality, and also a key reference for environmental pollution.Lead elements could product effects as toxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic, etc. Ethyl lead had been widely used as antiknock gasoline, and exhausted into the atmosphere with the vehicle. Therefore, the lead content determination for inhale particles in atmosphere has been a major evaluation of atmospheric heavy metal pollution.In the experiments, a PM2.5 cutter and quartz fiber filters were equipped as a collector of inhalable particles for a month. And a Graphite Furnace – AAS was introduced as a meansurement facility. The results demonstrated a good linearity in the 0-40μg/L concentration range in which the linear regression coefficient located at 0.9998 and the detection limit was 0.2μg / L.It sμggested that this method could effectively measure lead content of the inhalable atmospheric particulate matter.
