A Study On Contractual Relation Between Human And Nature In Ecological Civilization Construction

Ecological crisis results from the alienation of human relation with nature. Ecology and civilization respectively represent ecological civilization’s particular regularity and quality of belonging to human beings. Therefore, the harmonious relation between man and nature is central to solving ecological crisis and constructing ecological civilization. Human relation with nature is historical. Since the time human came into being, the relation between human and nature has undergone the evolution from natural state to antagonistic state, and then to the present introspective and reconstructive state. The aim of reconstruction is to achieve the harmonious relation between human and nature. Crisis also entails opportunities at the same time. The key to restoring the harmonious relation between human and nature lies in man’s choice of ecological civilization at the moment of life and death. Studies on ecological ethics have included nature as an object of moral concern. The concept of nature as a whole has been generally accepted in the society. Contractual spirit produced in human practices highly matches ecological civilization. It is possible and necessary to bring the ideas such as equality, honesty and freedom among people into human relation with nature. With the aim of realizing the ecological civilization that man and nature coexist harmoniously, the contractual relation between them is constructed. In the process of constructing the contractual relation, three principles shall be abided by, that is, ecological equality, ecological honesty, and ecological freedom. The unification of human and nature is not unrealistic but manifested in every human action. The feasibility of reconstruction shall not remain at the theoretical level. Human introspection shall be embodied in the practices of social construction.
