Along with the development of science and technology,people are becoming more and more select with the types and qualities of strip,the production of which accounts for a considerable proportion of the national economy.A high-performance controlling system of tandem cold rolling can not only make the operation much easier,but also assure a high-quality production of the strip and realize the optimal allocation of the system,improving productivity and decreasing energy consumption.The major research of this paper goes as follow:By studying the 1550mm Pickling & Tandem Cold Mill of Xinyu steel,this research aims to better understand the whole process of strip production. Analysis of the material tracking function, Accurate positioning to steel coil ID number for reference by modifying the speed calculation and detection for steel strip, the tracking errors are handled process according to the characteristics of entrance section, the entrance coiler constant tension control and the remaining length calculation method of strip was discussed.The overall architecture design of acid production line automatic control system,Focus on the design of the basic automation system. Among them, the main control equipment based on SIMATIC TDC system adopts basic automation.The TDC system hardware, software and communication configuration. Auxiliary equipment control of the basic automation adopted the Siemens S7-400 PLC controller, Control process according to region, the data communication between S7-400 PLC and TDC implementation is designed in detail, Control system using CFC and SFC programming language and WINCC based HMI system.To meet the performance requirements raised by the automatic control system, the author develops four core systems, respectively being that of flatness control speed control tension control and thickness control. According to the actual production of 1550mm cold rolling mill of Xinyu steel Cold Mill Plant and the thickness control theory, The first stand established CMF and AMF mathematic model of thickness control. The two stand are established, tension deformation pattern restriction patterns and surface/elongation pattern thickness control model.
