This article mainly discusses internal and international general conditions of cold sheet metal.Coupled with the requirements and development of technology of cold sheet metalrolling,it analyzes and studies the central technology--AGC(Automatic GaugeControl),discusses the primary principles and control methods of current AGC systems.At the same time,it points out their problems. With further study of new-style massflow AGC systems and designing requirements of 1450mm six high cold reversing mill project in TianJin ChangSheng sheet metal plant,we also improve the masstlow AGC control model and debugging in the field. With half a year's debugging, the mill puts into production normally.it fully indicates the superiority and practicability of this control method and also shows the shortage of it.This article is divided into 5 chapters, central contents are as follows:Chapter One: This chapter mainly discusses the internal and international production and requirements conditions of cold sheet metal.According to the investigation of market analysis, it's obvious that the cold sheet metal has promising foreground and possibility for study and development. According to the developping trend of sheet metal rolling technology, it indicates the significance and main research contents.Chapter Two: This chapter expatiates the main factors which lead to lognitudinal thickness deviation and analyzes thickness adjustment methods and basic principles of AGC on detail.Chapter Three: This chapter compares with advantages and disadvantages of every AGC methods mentioned on the previous chapter, introduces total performance requirements and configuration on hardware and software of the project.Chapter Four: This chapter introduces the design of massflow AGC scheme, establishs mathematical model, analyzes control arithmetic, calculation and disposal of primary parameters.Also it improves the model with monitor AGC added to, analyzes the principles and draws function model chart. At the end of the chapter, it shows the debugging results in the field.Chapter Five: According to the existing uncertain factors in the field,it discusses theinfluence on the system performance which was caused by massflow AGC regulation.In the meanwhile, it discusses the influence on the final control results which was caused by massflow AGC measuring apparatus and finds out the deficiency of its application.As a new-style AGC method, massflow AGC has importantly impressed on increasing control precision and enhanced the quality of sheet metal production. Accordingly the study of intensifying the application of massflow AGC will be important guarantee of promoting sheet rolling modernization.
