As an important fine chemical Product, n-butyl oleate has been extensively used in many fields. However, presently the commercial n-butyl oleate was chemically synthesized which had many disadvantages, such as violent reaction conditions, environmental pollution and poor Product quality. In order to overcome the shortcoming of chemical method in synthesizing n-butyl oleate, on the basis of the preliminary exploration, the Synthesis of isobutyl oleate catalyzed silicotungstic acid adsorbed on activated Carbon were studied. The structure and character, the special nature, the research development and the preparation method of the heteropoly acids H4SiW12O40/C were introduced. Esterification of oleic acid with butanol was studied by H4SiW12O40/C as catalyst. The effects of the catalyst dosage, reaction time, mole ratio of reactants and reaction temperature on the conversion were studied, and the reaction conditions were optimized. The results show that the catalyst of activated carbon load silicotungstic acid(H4SiW12O40 / C) has higher catalytic activity, less dosage, high activity and short reaction time in the synthesis of butyl oleate. At the same time, this reaction to environmentally friendly and less corrosive for equipment. This is because that the silicon acid with activated carbon load, increasing the catalytic active sites silicotungstic acid and still allow carbon particles precipitated, the upper mixed reaction liquid pale amber color, less impurities, color, normal, better product quality. That was all phenomenon indicated the H4SiW12O40/C is a good catalyst for synthesis of butyl oleate.Carry on dynamics researches to the reaction :the oleic acid order of reaction is one class; 100 ℃, reaction velocity k1=0.0114 min-1; 140 ℃,velocity k2=0.0200 min-1. It is get the apparent activation energy of reaction Ea=60.81 kJ mol-1. Which establish the dynamics equation of the synthetic reaction.
