As a kind of important method of surface modification and rapid prototyping, the application areas for laser cladding are becoming wider and wider. Laser cladding is such a complicated procedure that it is affected by a lot of factors. The principle problem for laser surface cladding is to ensure the cladding quality and avoid cracks. Figure out the temperature distribution and stress distribution in the cladding process is a key to solve the problem.In the practical application of laser cladding, The interaction of many factors make it difficult to measure the temperature distribution in the melt pool by using experimental methods. These include millimeter-scale melt pool, changeable state of matter, intricate thermophysical procedure and heat.ANSYS is selected to simulate the temperature field in laser surface cladding. In the simulation process, parametric programming will be realized by APDL programming language. By altering the experimental conditions to actualize multi factor combinations and discriminate the analog results. In the light of the data of temperature field simulation results, thermo-mechanical coupling analysis has been done. In order to study the cause of crack in the laser surface cladding and control them. The results of specific studies are as follows:(1) A relatively complete theoretical system of laser surface cladding was established.(2) Briefly introduce the ANSYS software. Elaborate how to realize the numerical simulation with clear steps and detailed content, including the establishment of the model, parameter settings and mesh rezoning etc.(3) Focus on restoring the loading process of laser heat source as the moving load by utilizing the APDL language of ANSYS, simulate the melting and solidification process of the pool with the method of "birth and death"...
