The content of fine particulate matters in ambient air is often more than the national standard in china. Using filter materials with barrier properties to filter the air is an effective way to solve this problem. Therefore, it is important to use the filters reasonably and make a comprehensive evaluation on their filtering performance.There are only the standards for air filters in china. The production enterprises develop standards for their filtering materials respectively, which bring out great difficulty to the research and development, production of filtering materials, as well as their users. The filters made of filtering materials have some problems such as high cost and long detection period, the performance index including dust capacity, service life and self-cleaning ability can’t be tested.Based on the classification and filtering mechanism of filter materials. The research establish a filter material performance test and analysis system referring to the national, European and American standards, the areal density, filtration resistance, dust content and service life of the filter materials were tested and analyzed.The performance mathematical models were established and optimized with multiple regression analysis to determine the influence factors of filtration resistance, filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity. With unified objective function and grey clustering analysis, two comprehensive evaluation systems were established and compared.The results may provide important technical reference to develop evaluation criteria for the performance of filtration materials, filter materials localization of high efficiency, development of new product and selection of air filter materials for the filter production enterprises reasonably.
