Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) were obtained by polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin after the further chlorination. Since the molecules containing more chlorine atoms, the glass transition temperature and heat distortion temperature of CPVC resin were higher, thus the heat resistance and a maximum operating temperature is significantly higher than PVC resin. However, as the improvement of the chlorine content of the CPVC,the polarity between molecular chains were strengthen, the intermolecular forces between formed macromolecular chains were increase, resulting in the brittleness and the melt viscosity of CPVC were increased, the thermal stability were dropped, the range of molding temperature was narrow during processing, difficult to processing and poor impact resistance, its application was extremely limited.Due to the shortcomings, the modified CPVC materials of the surface gloss was prepared through the method of blending CPVC with poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), and adding a small amount of additives to improve the material processing performance. HAAKE torque rheometer, DMA, SEM and mechanical properties tester et al. be used to study the performance of the modified materials.Specific research contents are as follows:Ca/Zn composite stabilizer, tribasic stabilizers, organotin stabilizers acted as primary stabilizer, Cast, Bast as a secondary stabilizer, to study the thermal stability of the CPVC resin. The results show that:With the increase in the amount of the primary stabilizer, the performance of the thermal stability of the CPVC was increased, the plasticizing time becomes longer; With the increase of the amount of an auxiliary stabilizer, processing balancing torque was reduced, but the excess auxiliary stabilizer is likely to cause that CPVC resin could not plasticized. When the organotin stabilizer was set to an amount of 3 phr, the auxiliary stabilizer was set to an amount of 0.8 phr, and a processing temperature was set to 185℃, the thermal stability of the CPVC resin achieve the best;Study on CPVC blends modified through PMMA was acted as modifier. The molding properties, surface gloss properties, heat resistance and mechanical properties of the CPVC/PMMA blends were researched. The results show that:as the content of PMMA increasing, the balancing torque of CPVC/PMMA blends was reduced, melt viscosity decreased, the surface gloss increased, the trend the first increases and then decreasing were showed in the impact strength and heat distortion temperature of blends, the tensile strength showed anti-"S" type decreasing trend. The performance of CPVC/PMMA blends in which the content of PMMA was set to 15 phr was best;The PVC, ABS, MBS be added to the CPVC/PMMA blends, the CPVC blending materials were prepared.The structures, fracture morphology, rheological properties, heat resistance and mechanical properties of the blends were study. The results show that:the balance torque of blends was reduced, the melt viscosity was decreased and the mechanical properties improved through PVC,ABS and MBS resin was added. The best performance of blends were achieved in which the content of MBS was set to 5phr.
