Resistant starch (RS) is a fermentable carbohydrates, which similar to dietary fiber has many physiological function. By adjusting the intestinal microflora has a positive impact on gut health, but also can reduce blood cholesterol levels, RS4-type resistant starch for glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism in mammals functions at home and abroad has more in-depth study but to study the growth of fish, meat quality and lipid metabolism. Therefore, this paper choose Schizothorax prenanti as experimental animals to discuss deeply RS4-type resistant starch on fish growth and fat metabolism regulation.Purpose:In this paper, we analyzed the effect of RS4-type resistant starch on the growth performance, meat quality, lipid metabolism-related enzymes and related genes mRNA level of Schizothorax prenanti, which could provide theoretical basis for the RS4-type resistant starch fish breeding applications. Methods:The weight about 75 g Schizothorax Prenanti by RS4-type resistant starch was randomly divided into 0%(control group),3.5%,7%,14%,28% of five groups. After 60 days, through measuring growth performance indicators, fish quality, lipid levels, lipase activity,Peroxisome proliferators activated receptor(PPARa), Fatty acid-binding protein(FABP),Peroxisome proliferators activated receptor γ(PPARy) and Peroxisome proliferators activated receptor γ coactivator-1α(PGC-1α)mRNA level in muscle and liver were determined by RT-PCR.Consequence:1. Compared to the control groups, it distinctly increased Schizothorax prenanti weight and specific rate of growth and decrease the coefficient of bait, when the addition of the RS4 resistant starch was 7% or 14%(P<0.05). It observably increased the feeding rate, when the addition was equal to 7% or more than 7%(P<0.05).It markedly decreased condition factor, when the addition was 14%(P<0.05).when the addition was more than 7%, it lowered the intestinal lipid ratio. The addition did not have a distinct affect on the liver body weight ratio.2.When the addition of the RS4 resistant starch was less than 7%, it had no effect on the fat content of the Schizothorax prenanti (P>0.05). But it decreased the fat content(P>0.05), When the addition was equal to 14% or more than 14%. The addition of the RS4 resistant starch had no effect on the content of protein, moisture, ash, driage, hydroxyproline and collagen. Compared to the control groups, the dosage of 3.5% and 14% could obviously decrease the pH of Schizothorax prenanti, when the other dosage did not have an evident affect on the pH.3. When the addition of the RS4 resistant starch was less than 7%, it had no effect on serum total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG) and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) (P>0.05).When the addition was equal to 14% or more than 14%, it obviously decreased the proportion of serum TC, TG and VLDL-C(P<0.05). Compared to the control groups, the groups of RS43.5,RS414 and RS428 can obviously decreased low density lipoprotein cholesterin(LDL-C).When the addition of the RS4 resistant starch was less than 7%,it obviously increased the activity of the lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase in liver,Simultaneously increasing the content of free fatty acid in serum(P<0.05).4. When the addition of the RS4 resistant starch equated to 7% or exceeded 7%, the PPARa mRNA expression of liver and muscle was greater than the control groups. It signally reduced the expression of heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP) mRNA in muscle, when the addition equated to 14% or exceeded 14%.when the addition equated to 7%, it signally reduced the FABP mRNA expression in liver. Compared to the control groups, it obviously increased the PPARy mRNA expression of liver, when the addition of the RS4 resistant starch in bait was equal to 7% or exceeded 7%. PPAR y mRNA expression of the groups of RS7 and RS14,which was in liver, was more distinct than that of the other groups. Compared to the basic control groups, PGC-la mRNA expression of RS7 and RS14 groups, which was in liver, was signally greater, having no remarkable effect on PGC-la mRNA expression in muscle at the same time. Conclusion:Add the appropriate amount of RS4-type resistant starch could remarkably improve the growth characteristics and feeding rate of Schizothorax prenanti. It improved the activity of lipid metabolism-related enzymes and accelerated oxidation of fat by increasing PPARa, PPARy and PGC-la mRNA expression in liver and muscle and decreasing FABP mRNA expression, decreasing mesentery fat and muscle fat. As a result, cholesterol triglyceride in serum decreased, decreased the sedimentation of fat in fish body.
