All along, the oil is the material basis for the industrial production. In order to ensure the safety of oil transportation, it is necessary to strictly control the construction of oil pipeline. To analyze the cause of pipeline corrosion and the changes of the strength of the pipeline corrosion. Based on this, in this paper, the assessment of the residual strength of the Chuan Kou Nan Ni Wan Ф 219 corrosion pipeline is analyzed.First of all, in this paper, the cause of pipeline corrosion and protection measures in detail summary and described, and then based on Chuan Kou Nan Ni Wan pipeline operation status and inspection situation, optimizing the two methods of engineering standards of pipeline residual strength evaluation, determine whether the residual strength of pipeline can satisfy the current operating pressure of pipeline.Secondly, the article further about the use of finite element method on the residual strength of pipeline defect was analyzed. The Chuan Kou Nan Ni Wan pipeline defects are based on the whole wall uniform corrosion, therefore, in the analysis using the linear elastic material as the pipe material. Respectively detected by defects in finite element modeling of the pipes, and by increasing internal pressure to calculate the equivalent stress of the pipeline, the calculation of the equivalent stress of the tensile strength of the pipeline and the comparison, thus determine whether pipeline safety.Finally, this paper summarizes the finite element method(fem) to defect of residual strength of pipeline are analyzed. Firstly analyses the limitations of existing evaluation methods, evaluation results in order to get a more accords with the need of engineering, the finite element method analysis on residual strength of the pipeline corrosion evaluation. Considering the geometric nonlinearity and material nonlinearity, linear elastic finite element model is established. Its modeling method compared with other methods have obvious advantages, can not or less simplification model, as much as possible to accurately simulate pipe actual stress state, etc. Comparing the calculation results and the pipeline pressure simulation experiment, the family of curves fit well. Thus, the finite element methodis applied to calculate the corrosion pipe residual strength is very effective.
