With the construction and production of West-East natural gas transmission project and Sichuan to East gas transmission project, a national large gas transmission pipeline network system is gradually formed, and the requirements to pipeline operation scheduling are also gradually increase. At present, domestic natural gas pipeline operation and management mainly rely on experience. Although the operation plans are feasible in most situations, there also is a certain optimization space. Analyzing from energy conservation and emissions reduction, and reducing the operation cost, the optimization of gas pipeline operation has great significance. Through example calculation analysis, this paper studies by combining simulation with optimization the two big modules, and combing with dynamic programming algorithm for multi-objective operation optimization techniques of gas pipeline.Through the researches above mentioned, at first, it should set up steady-state simulation and optimization model of West-East natural gas transmission second line, and compare the results of simulation condition from simulation module and the simulation condition of SPS software to prove the accuracy, then write a software of natural gas pipeline multi-objective operation optimization, making it have the function of customized simulation and multi-objective optimization solution calculation(minimum energy consumption, minimum compressor sets). Under certain conditions, we should calculate multi-objective optimal operation plan of West-East natural gas transmission second line, comparing with the actual operation scheme. This paper studies more on the base of single objective optimization, and begins to research multi-objective optimization, so the application of natural gas pipeline operation optimization is more meaningful and more representative in the actual production, and it also puts forward more flexible thinking to the study applications of natural gas pipeline operation optimization.Based on the research of simulated optimization calculation method in the paper, it carries out optimized multi-target calculation of the second line of western gas output to the east by means of compiled simulated optimization software. In the way, the energy consumption reduces by 4.43%, and the number of compressors in operation also decreases by 8 sets, which reaches the target of saving energy and reducing emission.
