Cangshancounty is located in the southwest of South Shandong area. Recently, there are more relative environment issues that are attracting more attention with rapid development of society and economy. The living qualities of the local residents should be improved, especially in water environment, so that it is necessary to construct a sewage treatment plant in Cangshan. Based on the above purpose, a certain sewage treatment plant in Cangshan was chose as research object to design. After analysis of the sewage quantity, several kinds of the domestic and international sewage treatment processes were compared, and then, it was determined the optimal processing scheme to design the processes of the sewage treatment plant according to the local development level and the processing requirements.According to the predicted sewage quantity and considering the local economic development, it was determined that the recent engineering construction scale was 20000 m3/d and the long-term engineering construction scale was 40000 m3/d in the sewage treatment plant. Base on that, some researches and designs factors were obtained as follows:1.To select the project site of the sewage treatment plant. Comparing with some influence factors, such as the surrounding terrain, the convenience of obtaining water and the impact on the surrounding environment, the project site was ascertained 2.1km southward the south circle, the west of the farm road and the east of Brunei River.2.To compare the sewage treatment process schemes. Aerated grit chamber was selected as the design scheme of grit chamber, and the hydrolysis acidification pool of wastewater was set for hydrolytic acidification of the sewage. Among the comparison of the secondary biological treatment schemes, A~2/O process was selected as secondary biological treatment processing. Due to possessing the function of simultaneous denitrification and phosphorus removal, A~2/O process can satisfy the standard requirements of discharge and the characteristics of the sewage. And then, coagulation precipitation coupling with fiber rotary filter were determined to apply as advanced treatment process. In addition, ultraviolet radiation disinfection was selected as disinfection process. Finally, all-in-one belt conveyor concentrate dehydration machine for sludge treatment process was designed according to the scale of sewage treatment plant.3.To collocate structures and equipment. The local demands for building the sewage treatment and controlling pollution discharge are selection of advanced technologies as well as consideration of the local conditions and the project. Hence, all of sewage treatment structures and equipment that were selected have been studied whether suit for the actual project, such as coarse grid and improve pump room, fine grille and aeration settling pond, A~2/O, hydrolysis acidification pool, etc.4.To analyze the structures and equipment configuration. In this paper, the general layout and the monomers were designed, combining with the local terrain and climate. After building the sewage treatment plant, it can be certain that the environment of the living will be improved and more favorable conditions for the development of production will be created. At the same time, it was determined that the recent engineering construction scale was 20000 m3/d of the sewage treatment plant, which means the annual sewage quantity can be decreased. Among them, CODCr will declines to 3285 t, followed by BOD5 to 1752 t, SS to 2117 t, ammonia nitrogen to 292 to态total phosphorus to 40.15 t. Therefore, there are significant social and environmental benefits.
