With economic development and wealth increase, people pay more and more attention to their property and important documents. The demand for safe products becomes much stronger. Safe products with biometric authentication technology integrated such as fingerprint recognition are featured by high confidentiality and convenience, which are much loved by modern users and has broad market prospect. Fingerprint recognition identifies users with texture and other details of fingertips.Fingerprint recognition is not only the most intensively investigated technology, but also the most matured and widely applied technology in biometric authentication. With fast and accurate fingerprint algorithms plus advanced integrated circuit manufacture craft, fingerprint technology is widely used in people’s daily life.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) Feasibility analysis and system design, which comprises theoretical basic analysis, hardware chip selection,system performance, speed, internal memory size, other related peripherals and performance parameters settings. (2) Communication between arm-based micro controller and fingertip chips, including the use of relevant control commands to retrieve a capacitive fingerprint sensor image acquisition, storage feature extraction and matching fingerprint characteristic values. (3) Communication between micro controller and other sensors or executive units, such as 3-axis accelerometer and electrical locks.Finally, the paper on the basis of the above work, to complete the electronic system and menu management system hardware and software design and application of the actual product development, and achieved good safety and practical effect.
