With the fast development of maritime crude oil and refined oil transportation, the marine oil spill occurs frequently. The damage of marine environment has become the global problem because of spilled oil; therefore all over the world pay much attention to this issue. It is very necessary to identify the spilled oil to provide a support finding out the source of spilled oil and making a verdict in spilled oil accident. For a long time, the oceangraphers had made a great effort on spilled oil identification for a long period of time. The spilled oil identification mainly used FT-IR, fluorescence, GC-FID, GC-MS and other analytical methods through comparing the original chromatogram or the characteristic peaks of the oils. To the big otherness oils, these methods were effective; but to the similar oils, these methods were not satisfactory just compared the original chromatogram. The content of this thesis was divided into five parts: the first part was literature summarization; the second part was the methods of oil identification; the third part was crude oil fingerpringting identification; the fourth part was mixed crude oil fingerpringting analysis; the last part was conclusions. In the thesis, Gas chromatography flamed iron detector (GC-FID), Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were mainly used to determine the components character combining retention time with specific ion, including normal alkanes (including pristine and phytane), Naphthalene, Dibenzothiophene, Fluorene, Phenanthrene, Chrysene and their alkyl PAHs,, terpane-sterane biomakers. At the same time, it also can determine the components concentration by addicting the interior standard matters. With this method, five crude oils of different blocks were identified, and the commingled oils of five single oil mixed each other were also studied. The single oil content could be estimated according the fingerprint of mixed oils, which will play a vital role in spilled oil identification. The main conclusions of this thesis were as follows:1) Through compared the original peaks, relative concentration distribution and diagnostic ratios of normal alkanes (including pristine and phytane),Naphthalene, Dibenzothiophene, Fluorene, Phenanthrene, Chrysene and their alkyl PAHs, terpane-sterane biomakers of five crude oils, it was confirmed that five single crude oil was unmatched each other. The identification was much more scientific and quantitative using t-test analysis; the relationship of different oils was more specific using the SPSS fuzzy maximum matrix.2) The content of each different single oil of mixed oils could be calculated using the components concentration and diagnostic ratios of normal alkanes (including pristine and phytane) and terpane (m/z 191) biomakers of different single oil. It was effective that the content of single oil of mixed oils could be estimated through a specific case. The results of this thesis would provide the theoretical basis and technologic support for finding out the source of spilled oil and making a verdict in spilled oil accident, its application will play a vital role in digital spilled oil identification.
