There are complex components in air particulate matter, mainly including soluble ions, the metal elements, organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC), etc. The analysis of the types and content of organic matter is particularly important, with the organic matter in air particulate pollution causing more and more attention. Phthalate esters are a kind of environmental endocrine disruptors. It can interfere with the normal hormone levels in the blood and generate reproductive toxicity with long-term exposure, after entering the body and combining hormone receptor. This research develops a method for the determination of fifteen phthalate esters in air particulate matter PM2.5 by using ultrasonic extraction coupled with ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and detects seven air particulate matter samples. In this paper, the main conclusions are as follows:It develops a method for the determination of fifteen phthalate esters in air particulate matter PM2.5 by using ultrasonic extraction coupled with ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. The 5mL acetone was used as extraction solvent, with ultrasonic extraction 20 min and vacuum concentration to dry, then adding 1.00 mL methanol after sufficient oscillation. Most phthalate esters showed a good linearity in the range of 0.1~450 μg/L with the correlation coefficients more than 0.996. The limits of quantification (LOQ) were 0.006-3.53 ng/m3. Fourteen spiked recoveries ranged from 80.3% to 113% and the relative standard deviations were less than 10%. In the acquisition of 7 samples of PM25, DBP and DEHP in seven samples were detected, ranging from 5.46~53.2 ng/m3 and 31.7~63.8 ng/m3 respectively.DMP and DEP have checked out in some samples with 0.62~4.14 ng/m3 and 0.08~1.10 ng/m3 respectively.
