With improvement of living standards, the strong demand for large-size sanitary ware ceramic products was increasing, but the size of sanitary ware was increasing will lead to excessive resources and energy were consumed, which was contrary to construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. Therefore, the thinning and reducing production of sanitary ware ceramic are an important direction of the ceramic industry sustainable and healthy development.The biggest technical challenge of Sanitary ware ceramic thinned production was the flexural strength of the ceramic body reduced significantly, which not only leads to inconvenient operation, breakage rate increase and lead to a series of problems for subsequent drying, sintering and other process. Therefore, the ceramic body enhancement is to solve the critical bottleneck of current sanitary ware ceramic thinned, which has important academic value and practical significance.This paper take sanitary ware company formula as the standard, by adding reinforcing agents and electrolytes, investigating its effect on slurry properties; using the slip casting process, investigating the influence of additives on formability of Sanitary ceramics thinned and property of ceramic body, development of formula system suitable for production of Sanitary ware ceramic thinned, and adopting optimal formula test for production of sanitary ware ceramic thinned in the ceramic sanitary ware company production line, final preparation of sanitary ware ceramic thinned products and its performance can meet the requirements of production and use, it laid a solid foundation for its industrialization, and gets the following conclusions:(1) Appropriate types and content of additives can improve the performance of slurry significantly, When dosage of sodium tripolyphosphate was 0.3wt%, soluble silicate added quantity was 0.15wt%, water content of slurry was 29%, the slurry fluidity and thixotropy can meet the actual production requirements perfectly;(2) By means of additives type and content optimization can improve the strength of ceramic body significantly, When dosage of bentonite was 2wt%, enhancement of the ceramic body was the most obvious when sodium polyacrylate and sodium tripolyphosphate with 1:3 ratio as a composite additives and composite additives added quantity was 0.6wt%, the strength of ceramic body can up to 6.9Mpa, the strength of ceramic body increased 83.02% compare with the ceramic body prepared by based formulation of sanitary ware company, reach performance requirements of the slurry of sanitary ware ceramic thinned production, development of billets new formula system which was suit for sanitary ware ceramic thinned production;(3) The adding of significantly can improve the mud flow and preform drying intensity, but the sodium polyacrylate and sodium tripolyphosphate will cause the body difficult of demoulding. The bentonite can reduce the speed of mud slurry suction. Through the experiment of the industrial is know that we have developed the suitable system of formula,which is that the sodium polyacrylate was 0.13wt% and the sodium tripolyphosphate was 0.27wt%, water content of slurry was 29%.(4) Industrial test results show that when slurry was prepared by optimized formula and ceramic body thinning of 25%, it can still completed each process in the preparation process, and enhancement of drying intensity was 50%, enhancement of sintering strength was 5.9%; various performance indicators of the prepared sanitary ware ceramic thinned products have reached the national standard requirements.
