According to domestic and international tradition of low-grade copper scrap melting technologies such as blast furnaces, BOF and o maitelu insufficient independent research and development of low grade copper scrap steelmaking smelting production technology, top-blown converter smelting technology as the leading domestic level. Innovation:the use of "short process" top-blown oxygen enrichment and smelting and converting technologies; innovation in top-blowing converter equipment, high degree of automation; with natural gas as fuel in cleaner production and waste heat recovery and flue gas treatment.Pursuant to low grade waste miscellaneous copper raw materials, and fuel, and auxiliary material and the top blowing converter equipment situation,, research top blowing converter melting of technology principle, summary copper raw materials ratio for each furnace feeding total 60t, which refining slag 25t, refining slag:pig iron:lime =5:1:0.1; gas of ratio relationship for in feeding melting period, and melting made slag period compression air flow for zero, gas flow 700-800 Nm3/h, oxygen flow 1260-1440 Nm3/h, Blowing compressed air 9000 Nm3/h of the bronze period, natural gas flow rate is zero, oxygen flow for 200-300 Nm3/h.Measures to increase furnace life:control of BOF waste slag containing Silicon 19%-25%, stable temperature 1180°c-1250°c; crude copper finish drum bubble blowing; improving the quality of refractory masonry; choose the right temperature curve, reducing chemical and mechanical erosion.Blister copper Cu95% of main chemical components and main impurities to zinc, nickel, Tin, iron, lead, sulfur, and spoil the main chemical composition of iron, Silicon oxide, aluminium oxide, calcium oxide, zinc and copper; ash the main ingredients for iron, copper, zinc and lead. Feeding 60% of the total work time, so control of the entire top-blowing converter with time key is to shorten the charging time. Blister copper’s main processing costs for pig iron, gas, depreciation charges,79.64% per cent of total costs. After the top-blowing converter technology, each total furnace slag, furnace having been raised, homework time, an average copper 48.02t furnace, natural gas consumption 36.69Nm3/t, oxygen consumption in 66.79Nm3/t. Consider necessary improvements for steelmaking furnaces tho, and pig iron consumption.
