With the continuous development of city, people living standard enhancement, and improvement of municipal sewage and industrial effluents, the corresponding sludge production also increases year by year. Compared with the rapid development of wastewater treatment technology, sludge disposal technology development is slow, the method is still a primitive technology. The actual state of sludge disposal and environmental quality are not in accordance. For the health model city, model city of environmental protection and ecological construction of city, it is essential to conduct a comprehensive, scientific and reasonable sewage sludge treatment and disposal. Research and discussion on sludge disposal method suited to the characteristics of the area, have become an urgent need to solve the problem of municipal sludge outlet.Based on sludge treatment at home and abroad on the basis of comparative study, combined with sludge treatment situation at present stage in our country, the sludge incineration was seek out, which accords with the situation of China. Thermal characteristics of domestic sludge and the textile sludge were determined, and fluidized bed incineration parameters were analyzed for the two kinds of sludge. Finally, the feasibility of fluidized bed incineration for sludge was discussed. The main results are as follows:The moisture contents of dehydrated domestic and textile sludge were in the range of 75% to 80%. In tests with different ratios of sludge to coal at different time, the results showed that for the incineration amount of sludge in 1 t/h, the exhaust temperature was from 145.6℃ to 166.3 ℃, increased by 20.7 ℃; Smoke volume increased 9%, the flue gas side resistance increased 200 Pa, the increase in induced draft fan power consumption was 18 kw/h. Sludge system power consumption was 11 Kw/h. In order to ensure the original evaporation, coal consumption was more than 0.054 t/h and thermal efficiency decreaed by 2.5%. The energy consumption was much lower than other incineration technologies.The experiment proved that the removal rate for ash layer in fluidized bed incinerator was 99%, the desulfurization rate was 80%. These can completely meet the environmental requirements of discharge standards. Therefore, in sludge fluidized bed incinerator, dust remover and desulfurization equipments are effective, and tail gas emission can be effectively controlled by technical means.Thus, fluidized bed incineration of sludge is proved to be feasible and effective. It has a strong operability, and can better solve the problem of urban sludge treatment. It is benifical for the development of economy, the protection of the environment and the progress of the society, as well.
