Along with the development of machanical, the demand of components precision is more and more high, that requires the processing precision of machine tools to keep up with the development requirements.Nowadays how to improve the machining accuracy of machine tools has become a hot research topic in the field of machinery.Large CNC gantry machine is the main equipment for machining, Beam is the key components of CNC gantry machine, its static and dynamic mechanical properties will directly affect the quality and precision of the products. That means it has a great significance on the mechanical machining accuracy of machine tool even the whole mechanic field to improve the static and dynamic mechanical properties of beam.Beam O researched by Hanchuan machine tool factory has been used for a period of time, during the production process find that the machining accuracy is insufficient, the main basic beam stiffness needs further improved,therefore created beam X. The main research contents are as follows:(1)Establish the three-dimensional model of the two beams by SolidWorks, then introduce the main structure and parameters;(2)Establishing the model of load on the beam,analysis and calculate the working load, prepare for finite element analysis.(3)Make static and dynamic finite element analysis to the two beam separately, compare the results of mechanical property parameters, that shows stiffness of beam X has greatly improved than beam O, verify the structure advantage of beam X;(4)Combining with Dynamics theoretical and the result of finite element analysis,presented a new beam structure named M aim to improve the machine acurracy of gantry machine. The beam M has good technology, the finite element analysis results also shows that compared to beam X,the stiffness of beam M has greatly improved, that defined the feasibility of the new programme.(5)The mass of beam M compared to the beam O has increased, that needs to make optimization design,expect to reduce the mass of beam M as much as possible under the guarantee of the mechanical property of beam X. The result of the optimization shows that the beam M have a certain reduce on both mass and Torsional deformation, thus prove the optimization is successful.During the research process of the mechanical properties in the beam of gantry machine tool, realized the innovation on the design of structure and parameters optimization of the beam, put forward a kind of beam structure named M with better rigidity and technology. The research results have certain theoretical value and guiding significance for the structural design and optimization of gantry machine tool beam.
