Nowadays, with the development of economy, the electric power production brings more and more serious problem for environment. National environment protection has strictly limited the NOx emission standard in thermal power station emission, so it’s necessary to spread the promotion of domestic gas denitration technology into use. In order to reach the new policy published by country and autonomous region government, Xinjiang Huadian Turpan Power Plant decided to adopt Denitration renovation with units No.1, 2.This design for Xinjiang Huadian Turpan power plant, on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of units No.1,2 according to the local level of development and processing requirements, several mainstream denitration technology comparison to determine the optimal treatment program. Select a denitration treatment plant according to the results of the program, for a denitration treatment plant process design. Base on that, the researches and designs were obtained as follows:(1) To compare the denitration treatment process schemes. In the comparison of various plans for gas denitration technology and make a conclusion according to the actual situation of Xinjiang Huadian Turpan power plant: in the present situation of power plant units No.1, 2 and related to environmental protection requirements, using low NOx combustion technology and SNCR-SCR is the most economic, efficient and safe denitration way.(2) To collocate structures and equipment. The local demands of denitration renovation were selection of advanced technologies as well as consideration of the local conditions and the project. Hence, all of denitration renovation structures and equipment were selected and studied to suit for the actual project, such as low nitrogen combustion, SCR, etc.(3) To analyze running state and performance test. The analysis of denitration renovation project of Huadian Turpan power plant running state and performance test under 1#, 2# unit over 75% load. It indicated that all system run stably and reached the design requirement. Through comprehensive analysis, it concluded that the renovation for Xinjiang Huadian Turpan Power Plant unit 1#, 2# with low NOx combustion technology and SNCR-SCR gas denitration contented with designed requirement, the denitration equipment running well and the NOx meet the emission standard. It can be certain that the environment of the living and production will be improved and favorable conditions for the development of production will be created.
