Equipment manufacturing industry provides production technical equipment for the national economy and national defense, it is also a core component of the manufacturing and the basis for economic development especially industrial development. Improving China’s comprehensive national strength need to establish a comprehensive and powerful equipment manufacturing industry. As the core product of equipment manufacturing industry. The CNC machine tool’s research and development level affect the entire manufacturing level to a certain extent. The emotional needs of outer shield’s appearance modeling have gradually begun to affect the market competitiveness of machine, and the machine outside sensual studies have become absolutely necessary.Kansei Engineering is a technology that can translate the consumer’s emotional needs to the elements of product design. In detail, Kansei Engineering which translating emotional needs to engineering, is used to explore the people’s emotional needs towards products and translate to the elements of product design. So Kansei Engineering can effectively solve the outer shield’s appearance modeling problems in emotional needs.In this paper the relationship between the emotional needs and the outer shield’s appearance modeling was studied. On the basis of understanding domestic and foreign research status of the outer shield’s appearance modeling and Kansei Engineering theory, a development process from the emotional needs to the physical product was demonstrated, and the process was divided into three parts. The first part is product research stage, in this stage the main representative emotional words of the emotional needs and the typical experiment samples was extracted, the corresponding relationship between emotional words and style factors was proposed; The second part is product design stage, whose the author used the research results to the outer shield’s appearance modeling sensibility design of CNC machine tool, and got some combined solutions; The third part is product decision-making stage, the design evaluation using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was chosen to get the best combined solution, then the corresponding color solution would been proposed, finally machine factory would produced the prototype; The last part is product feedback part. This paper extracted the "precise-rough," "sharp-sleek," "practical useless" "interesting-solitude," and "the atmosphere-stingy", "simple-complex", this six sensibility word was used to identify the relationship between these six groups and sensibility design elements, which is based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. The author combined Tianjin No.l Machine Tool Works project of YK5115 CNC Sear Shaper’s outer shield’s appearance modeling to verify the feasibility of the practical application of this research. |
