The most representative aryl substitution olefins is styrene. It is an important raw material for the chemical industry, and it is useful in the field of chemical industry. This paper studies the catalytic oxidation of styrene is very important for the comprehensive utilization of styrene. In this paper, we reported catalytic oxidation of styrene effectively, under the action of 30% hydrogen peroxide in using a variety of solvents and catalysts. Respectively explored synthesis of α-bromoacetophenone; styrene epoxide; acetophenone and 2-hydroxyacetophenone under the condition of water or water-soluble solvent by styrene. Synthesis of α-bromoacetophenone by use of HBr/H2O2 system and yield of 93.9% was reported in the first part of this paper. By monitoring the process of reaction, the possible mechanism of the reaction has been discussed. Synthesis of styrene epoxide by use of hydrotalcite/H2O2 system and yield of 92.1% was reported in the second part of this paper. In order to greatly shorten the reaction time, microwave has be used for heating, and styrene epoxide yield is 81.7%, we also compared catalytic performance between different solid acid and solid base. Synthesis of acetophenone and 2-hydroxyacetophenone by use of a variety of metal salts was reported in the third part of this paper. The yields of 76.5% and 17.5% when using 盐A/H2O2. Respectively, the possible reaction mechanism was discussed according to literature and the influence factors of the various process conditions were discussed in the paper.
