Research On Wax Deposition Mechanism And Countermeasures For Wax Removal & Control Of Condensate Gas Well Of Da’anzhai In Liangping

The condensate gas reservoir of Da’anzhai is located in Liangping, Chongqing. It is an area of 60 square kilometers, with rich reserves of condensate gas. Nine wells were usually plugged by wax during production test in this reservoir. Wax deposition seriously affected the production of gas wells.No research on wax deposition has been carried out in development of the condensate gas reservoir of Da’anzhai, because it was short of experiment condition and technology for research on wax deposition mechanism of condensate gas wellbore. Based on literature investigation, research on wax deposition mechanism of condensate gas wellbore was carried out by experiment in this study. A wax deposition prediction model was built in the research, and was made into a software to forecast the wax deposition of condensate gas wellbore of Da’anzhai. Based on literature investigation and experiment, reasonable countermeasures for wax removal & control were worked out in this study, and were successfully applied in practice. Therefore, this study can support normal production of gas well in Da’anzhai.Some conclusions can be got from this research as follow(1)Impacts of temperature, pressure, pressure difference, oil and gas component and roughness on wax deposition were investigated by experiment, which was the basis of wax deposition prediction.(2)Based on literature investigation and experiment, the wax deposition prediction model was built in the research, and was made into a software to forecast the wax deposition of condensate gas wellbore of Da’anzhai. Wax thickness, wax deposition rate and wax deposition period are predicted in this study.(3)According to the production practice, production allocation of gas well and wax removal & control agents were optimized, and wax removal tool was chosen in this study.
