The research of Land use/cover change (LUCC) and eco-environment vulnerability has become a hot in global change research. LUCC makes ecological environment become sensitive and fragile by changing the natural form of surface. With the rapid development of economy and urbanization, the contradiction between land use intensity and ecological protection intensified gradually. So the research provides a scientific reference in land use planning, management, and environmental protection for government. It also plays an important role in the sustainable development of the region. The paper takes municipal districts and its surrounding counties, Minhou, Changle in Fuzhou as study areas, collecting remote sensing data, terrain data, meteorological data and socio-economic statistical data. In addition, using remote sensing, GIS, the classification of SVM, multi-factor comprehensive evaluation model and statistical mode Is to analysis. The results of study include the types of LUCC, the degree of eco-environment vulnerability and its space-time change and mechanism in 2000,2005,2010, and 2014.The main conclusions are as follows:1) In 2000-2014, the degree of LUCC rised on the whole. The construction sites changes significantly, farmland and forest secondly. The mutual conversion happens between them. Moreover, it’s frequent in two-way conversion of woodland and farmland.2) The vulnerability of ecological environment is lower in 2014, micro and mild-centered. It’s micro and mild-oriented in Minhou, Jinan, Changle and Mawei. In contrast, Gulou, Taijiang and Cangshan is higher relatively, it is focusing on moderate, strength and between them. Throughout the study period, the level of vulnerability is rising overall, mainly as follows:the degree of degration is higher in urban area. The degration occurs in hilly and mountainous regions to a certain extent.3) There are significant differences between eco-environment vulnerability and different types of land use/land cover in 2000-2014, in which woodland give priority to micro and mild, maily on Minhou, Jinan and Mawei. Cultivated vulnerability is focus on mild and moderate, include Cangshan, Jinan, Mawei, Changle and Minhou. There are big regional differences in construction land, it’s strength and moderate strength-based in Gulou, Taijiang, Cangshan and Jinan. In contrast, Mawei, Minhou and Changle is focus on moderate and moderate strength. Apart from this, unused land is strength and moderate strength-based.4) In 2000-2014, the LUCC led to the rising of eco-environment vulnerability, mainly on follows:forest converted land for construction purpose caused serious eco-environment vulnerability. Secondly, the arable land converted land for construction purpose resulted in eco-environment vulnerability also accenturated, especially the Basin region which is more obvious than hilly area. The water area and unused land led to changes in the ecological environmental vulnerability is relatively small.
