With the eco-environment problem increasing outstanding and globali- zation, the application of satellite remote sensing is more and more extensive in the field of eco-environment monitor , and this understanding of necessity and urgency have already been accepted by the international community. Almost country that control and make use of the satellite remote sensing regard eco-environment remote sensing monitor as an important field of research and application.This on the one hand promoted strongly the development of eco-environment remote sensing, on the other hand also promoted the continuous and deep development of the theories and method research of satellite remote sensing eco-environment application. In recent years great deal of experiment show in domestic and international community that remote sensing is a powerful means obtaining the eco-environment information and using remote sensing to monitor the big scope of the eco-environment variety can save time, labor-saving. So the developping satellite remote sensing is very important meaning in the eco-environment.Using remote sensing to monitor eco-environment variety is a long-term and complicated system engineering.It involves lots of introductive technique problem that need to study and treat,especially for the extraction of remote sensing thematic information and the method of remote sensing monitor. At present,the solution to the extraction of remote sensing thematic information and remote sensing monitor mainly come from the method that were created in special region. But because of many uncertainty that the complexity of remote sensing itself brings it usually leads these methods to need to adjust to the model and re- choose with parameter in other regions or in big region where higher accuracy is requested,even sometimes need to look for the new method and the new model to resolve the actual problem.The paper,combining 《The eco- environment remote sensing monitoring in River Talimu' valley》 project, aiming at the present condition of the shortage of eco-environment remote sensing monitor research in the special region, made use of TM/ETM and SPOT etc.data to mainly study the extraction of remote sensing thematic information for four environment factors, including Vegetation, Land desertification, Soil salinization, Land use; brought forward a set of effective process and arithmetic of information extraction concerning this region,established the related mathematics model,and carried on the certain accuracy valuation to this result of information extraction.Moreover,paper studied the method of eco- environment changing remote sensing dynamic monitoring in this region by using the first step research.Research result of experiment shows that aiming at River Talimu'valley, paper brought forward to use density segmentation combining layering and classifying for extraction of vegetation and land use information and classification of GIS combining remote sensing image for extraction of land desertification and soil salinization, is better solution to resolve the information extraction.That we use comparing with image to image for extraction of land use changing in remote sensing dynamic monitoring also got the good result.
