Investigation And Countermeasure Research On Domestic Garbage Pollution Situation In Rural Domestic

With many years of Chinese economic reform, the economy of China achieved tremendous developments, the high-speed productivity also brings far-reaching effects into people’s society life from another aspect. Especially with the urban-rural integration becomes an irreversible trend, some hot social problems have to be brought to our agenda: the increasing industry waste and household garbage has to be handled with an environment-friendly, recyclable method, so that it can bring a sustainable development to future society. Because of the lack of infrastructure of rural area, household garbage has caused more potential risk to rural area than urban, it will be severe and unpredictable.(1) The rubbish from P town of X county is not only in great variety but also in large quantity. Most of the living rubbish is from kitchen litter. White trash comes second. Because One to three kilos has been brought by one family, so that the total rubbish from P town reaches 1496.5 tons per year.(2) Because of outdated rubbish treatment, unreasonable rubbish collection position, unseasonal transfer, residents are not satisfied with the rubbish treatment service. With a survey, among 367 residents, only 2.95% of them feels very satisfied with current rubbish treatment,2.7% of them shows high satisfaction to their living environment. While 27.3% of them feels satisfied basically with the rubbish treatment,44.4% of them shows basic satisfaction to their living environment.(3) Though residents have high environmental protection will, they get poor self-consciously awareness of environmental protection. In the survey,84.8% of the interviewees supports the rubbish classification, and 18.7 percent and 47.2 percent of interviewees are dying and willing to pay for the environment protection costs. People with poor education, low income and elderly farmer group have poor willingness to pay for the rubbish classification and environmental protection costs.While people with high education, high income, and cadre group are more willing to support the environmental protection, and they are more positive in the payment willingness of environmental protectionIn order to solve rubbish pollution in rural area, governments have to thoroughly enhance legislation and supervision. Besides, it should activate people’s awareness of protecting the environment. Governments at all levels shall pay more attention to environmental protection, and support it. Apart from this aspect, they should invest more in the projects such as setting up a kind of special funds for the environmental protection, improve rubbish treatment, and operation management. With more technology support, rubbish can be classified correctly, resources can be cyclic utilization, then sustainable development in rural area can be realized also.
