As the new weapons more and more devastating, the bullet-proof performance requirements of bulletproof material is becoming more and more high,and all kinds of bulletproof material is towards a more secure, more lightweight, more comfortable in the direction of development. Hybrid fiber reinforced resin matrix bulletproof material will be new bulletproof material research hot spot in the future.There are many factors influencing the performances of hybrid fiber bulletproof composite bulletproof,such as high-performance fiber mixed type, proportion of mixed, mixed mode,and the combination of resin selection, molding process, etc,will more or less impact on the bulletproof performance.The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber with very good effect of bulletproof as bulletproof base material and supplemented by rigid good fiber such as carbon fiber to improve the bulletproof composites rigidity, will create a new generation of performance of bulletproof composite materials.In order to get more lighter and safer bulletproof composite material,this article studied the two aspects of simulation and preparation. First, design the different components, different layer structure of the fiber reinforced bulletproof composites.Then using Virtual Performance Solution (VPS) for the designed to simulate the penetration resistance characteristics of bulletproof composites. On the basis of simulation analysis, the preparation of the fiber reinforced and bulletproof composites was measured by shooting practice.Finally, according to the measured results to optimize the design of the bulletproof composites.The simulation results show that when layer structure and the fiber volume fraction under the same conditions,the bulletproof properties of PE laminated plates (UHMWPE fiber reinforced polyethylene resin) is better than that of CF laminated plates (CF reinforced epoxy resin) under the impact velocity of 325 m/s.But under the higher impact velocity of 525 m/s and 725 m/s,the bulletproof properties of CF laminated plates is better than that of PE laminated plates.At higher projectile impact speed 525 m/s and 725 m/s,layer angle has little effects on the penetration resistance of PE and CF laminated plates. But under the lower impact velocity of 325 m/s,layer angle has remarkable effects on the penetration resistance of laminated plates.And the penetration resistance of [0/90/0/90]4 is better than of [0/90/45/-45]4. Under different fiber volume fraction, PE and CF laminated plates performance the same characteristics of penetration resistanceunder the impact velocity of 325 m/s, that is when the fibre volume fraction is 0.8, the penetration resistance characteristics is best.In order to get better fiber reinforced of bulletproof composite materials of good penetration resistance properties,combination use of CF ply and PE ply, complement each other. The simulation results show that CF+ PE laminated plates (CF ply in strike face) characteristics of penetration resistance is best, PE+ CF laminated plates (PE ply in strike face) characteristics of penetration resistance is worst, pure PE laminated plates penetration resistance characteristics is close to the CF+ PE laminated plates. pure CF laminated plates penetration resistance characteristics is inferior to the CF+PE laminated plates and pure PE laminated plates but better than that of PE+CF laminated plates.In order to verify the reliability of the simulation analysis, produced the high performance of bulletproof composite materials. For [0/90/0/90] simple layer structure, [0/90/0/90] two-way core wrapped structure, [0/90/0/90] two-way pure wrapped structure, [0/90/0/90] layer suture structure, four layer structure of the laminated plates are measured by shooting practice. Results showed that [0/90/0/90] layer suture structure not only has better blocking ability but backface signature less volatility.[0/90/45/-45] layer structure due to the fiber length distribution, make its poor bulletproof properties.And appropriate to increase the molding pressure can enhance the ballistic characteristics of the sample.Compared with the pure PE laminated plates, after joining the carbon-fibre layers can not only increase the surface stiffness, and its every shot sequence backface signature is less than the pure UHMWPE fiber bulletproof plate. Thus it can be seen mixed into the carbon-fibre layers can effectively reduce the backface signature and penetration resistance characteristics is more outstanding.CF/UHMWPE Fiber Reinforced Composite ballistic insert plates were fabricated by mould pressing. Through a detailed study on characteristics of its resistance to penetration, a new damage model was established. The results show that the process of ballistic insert plate response to bullet penetration can be divided into five obvious features stages. The fiber tensile absorbed most of the energy projectile, and projectile deformation accelerated the speed of stop.
