| Torsional fretting is the slightly relative twisting between the contact interfaces under alternating load. The Numerical model of torsional fretting applied with alternating horizontal force become the Tangential and torsional fretting. Fretting occurs in the name of static contact parts which isn’t easy to be found, once discovered the damage has been quite serious. Fretting phenomenon is very common, and there is a certain research on torsional fretting, but there is no relevant research in the field of Tangential and torsional fretting. In this paper, the finite element software is applied to the analysis of the mechanical behavior of torsional fretting contact zone, and compare the simulation result with the experiment result. At last the mechanical behavior characteristics of the Tangential and torsional fretting are discussed. The main work is showed as following:1. Study on Torsional fretting finite element model of GCrl5 steel ball/5083 aluminum alloy, GCrl5 steel ball/7050 aluminum alloy. The results showed that the two kinds of aluminum alloy under different load cases has similar rule.2. The influence of different angular displacement and normal load on the contact state, equivalent or frictional stress and equivalent plastic strain of the 5083 aluminum alloy is discussed. In partial slip regime and mixed fretting regime, with the increase of the angular displacement amplitude, the maximum friction or equivalent stress, plastic strain increases.and in the slip regime, friction or equivalent stress and plastic strain curves gradually tend to Coincide.3. The torsional fretting mechanical character of 7050 aluminum alloy is similar with 5083 aluminum alloy. The maximum friction or equivalent stress and plastic strain value are located in the stick-slip border region. In partial slip regime, the edge is slightly damaged, in the mixed fretting regime, the stick-slip border region is severely damaged. And in the slip regime, the plastic flow and the damage is serious in the whole contact zone.4. Numerical simulation results of torsional fretting can be in good agreement with the experimental results, which reflects the reliability of the numerical simulation.5. The mechanical behavior of the Tangential and torsional fretting contact zone is discussed, and compared with mechanical character of the Tangential and torsional fretting which applied with the reverse tangential force. |
