The emergence of photonic crystal reveal a series of new electromagnetic phenomenons.It opened up a new field of research.It’s artificial materials which including the subject of materials science, optics, electromagnetism and integration technology.It has become the research focus of the nano-technology, optical information technology ptoelectronic components etc. In this paper, a one-dimensional photonic crystal as the research subject, the optical properties of photonic crystals are analyzed by using the transfer matrix method,this paper carried out the following research work:1, The development status of photonic crystal are introduced.Briefly introduces several research methods which are commonly used in photonic crystals and talk about the application of photonic crystals and the development of the frontier.The propagation properties of one dimensional photonic crystal are derived by using the transfer matrix method, and the transmittance and reflectivity of the system are obtained. The crystal optics theory relates to the refraction rate of the ellipsoid and dielectric tensor,all of these have been explained, theoretical derivation of the effect of sound wave in photonic crystals, photonic crystal refraction rate changes, variation of the optical thickness and the transmission matrix of the coefficient.2, The optical transmission of one-dimensional heterogeneous structure of photonic crystals(AB) 50(BA)50was investigated by transfer matrix method. There are three obvious photonic band gap in 479.6 ~ 515.2 nm, 669.4 ~ 859.7 nm, 1477 ~ 1608 nm. When a ultrasonic as external source field in the photonic crystal structure, based on the acousto-optic effect, the refractive index and thickness of photonic crystals dielectric are tiny changes, and the forbidden band width of photonic crystals and position change. Photonic crystal band gaphas been affected by the time parameter. Put emphasis on the relationship bentween the optical transimission of this kind of PCs and the time,amplitude,as well as acoustic frequency.Then result shows that photonic band gap changes with the reduction of acoustic frequency,the width of the PBG decreases and to the short-wave direction.3, Light transmission properties of one dimensional photonic crystal(AB) 25AA(BA) 25 under ultrasonic wave. Research shows that the structure of photonic crystals can form photonic band gap in the 1483~1610nm, and due to the doping of the defect layer, at 1530 nm appear transmission peak. When the incident wave, transmission peak position and transmission with the time node different presents two trends change, change still meet before the conclusions and acoustic amplitude peak of transmission also produced regular influence on the band gap position.
