CL-20(HNIW) is a typical representative of high energy density materials nowadays, it is used in the research of solid propellant,propellant and booster. It is meet the requirement of the high energy and insensitive of weapon system. CL-20 is a sort of ammonium nitrate compound with cage type, it is even higher than other ammonium nitrate explosive in the aspect of density of energy. But because of the disadvantages of CL-20 that it is higher mechanical sensitiveness and difficult to control Crystal type, those make it difficult to be fully used. It can effectively reduce the sensitivity of explosive with the methods to reduce the explosives crystal grain size, control of explosive crystal morphology and coated adhesive in the explosives surface.On the basis of the principle of molecular dynamics, this paper combined with the software of molecular dynamics(MS) and set up the model of CL-20 cell, three kinds of binder(Estane5703, EPDM, EVA) and their corresponding PBX. And this paper used COMPASS force field, calculated the binding energy of CL-20/Estane5703, CL-20/EPDM, CL-20/EVA in the same conditions. The sort of binding energy of CL-20/Estane5703, CL-20/EPDM, CL-20/EVA is Estane5703> EPDM > EVA.The article also improved the ultrasonic spray refining device and get the best process conditions of preparation of ultrafine ε-CL–20 with single factor variable method; and the article reduces environmental pollution. In the process of experiment with self-made acrylic shield. Scanning electron microscopy( SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Laser particle size analyzer, differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and impact sensitivity analyzer were employed to characterize of the samples. The results shown that, the samples were better dispersion,Smaller particles and the type of spherical CL-20 was ε phase; the activation energy is 182.58KJ·mol-1, thermal explosion is 244.18℃, the drop height(H50) is 25.12 cm, the result is superior to the raw CL-20.In the article, ε-CL–20 was coated by water slurry method with three kinds of binder(Estane5703, EPDM, EVA) successfully. SEM, XRD, FT-IR, DSC and impact sensitivity analyzer were employed to characterize of the three PBXs. The results shown that, the three samples were regular and ellipsoidal, the type of spherical CL-20 was ε phase, there were Estane5703, EPDM, EVA In the composition of the three PBXs; THE excellent thermal stability and the impact sensitivity of security of CL-20/Estane5703, CL-20/EPDM and CL-20/EVA is superior to refinement CL-20.In the article, ε-CL-20/EPDM was prepared using spray drying method. The preparation process conditions were that the temperature was 80℃, the Pump speed was 10% and the pressure was 30%. Laser particle size analyzer, SEM, XRD, FT-IR, DSC and impact sensitivity analyzer were employed to characterize of the samples. Compared with ε-CL-20/EPDM using water slurry method, the results shown that the samples were better dispersion, the mean particle size was 1.46μm and the type of spherical CL-20 was ε phase; ε-CL-20/EPDM using spray drying method has better excellent thermal stability and impact sensitivity of security the thanε-CL-20/EPDM using water slurry method.
