Recently, with the rapid economic development, the gradual increment of greenhouse gas emissions mainly include carbon dioxide, some practical problems including global warming and environmental quality deteriorating are emerging, which make every country in the world focus on the greenhouse gas emissions and environmental conservation. Energy is the essential material foundation for the multiplication of human beings as well as advance of the society. It also guarantees the development of economy and the improvement of people’s living standards. The rapid development of economy inevitably lead to the tremendous increase of energy consumption, the increase of energy consumption and further cause the increase of carbon dioxide emissions, causing a series of environmental problems. This thesis is based on input-output structural decomposition analysis model(IO-SDA), China compiling of comparable price carbon emissions input-output table is adopted to analyze the factors that influence the energy consumption carbon dioxide emissions.Firstly, the thesis uses the input-output analysis and reform the traditional input-output table. Add the energy consumption quadrant and carbon dioxide emission quadrant below the third quadrant. Then set the price base year and producer price index and finally compiles 2007-2012 China comparable price input-output table taking 2010 as the price base year. Secondly, do empirical analysis of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in respective departments on the basis of comparable price input-output table. Establish input-output structural decomposition analysis model to disassemble the variation of economy energy consumption and carbon dioxide intensity in respective departments. Finally, on the basis of the empirical analysis provide policy suggestion for it.
