With flowing gas granular materials is transported in closed pipeline, compared to the traditional way of continuous mechanical transport, pneumatic conveying has many advantages, flexible pipe layout, closed system, easy to realize automation and so on, the aim of this paper is to develop pneumatic conveying way to convey flour in a food factory, extensive study and a certain progress have been done in the design of this system, energy analysis, system monitoring.In the design of the system, calculation method for pressure drop has been analysed, based on the additional pressure drop method, a more accurate solution for calculating pressure drop of the system has been studied, have done the detailed parameter design and pressure loss calculation for the pneumatic conveying system, and selected the source machinery.In the analysis of Energy consumption, studied on the process parameters deep, analysed the impact of feed-gas mixture ratio, pneumatic conveying velocity, pipe diameter on energy consumption, response surface methodology was used to the system for once and secondary orthogonal regression design, optimizing system parameters is to reduce the system energy consumption, to achieve system optimization.In-depth analysis of the system’s control process is to determine the system’s control program, applied PLC as the lower computer, kingview as the PC monitoring software, worked out the ladder diagram, developed monitor screen for the control system, achieved configure communication between the kingview and plc with the use of PPI serial communication, the simulations reveal that the system can run according to the predetermined plan, achieved the purpose of monitoring.In this paper, pneumatic conveying system of multi-tanks has been designed with its advantages to achieve food factory’s specific requirements, experimental design was used for optimizing system parameters and reducing energy consumption, kingview and PLC were applied for the system control so that the system can solve the technical problem of material conveying process, to provide the reference method for pneumatic conveying applied in different industries.
