Chlorinated polyethylene is a kind of special rubber with excellent properties, and its curing system is an important part of its application. Peroxide curing system is one of the most important curing systems of CM. It has the advantages of the best heat resistance, the minimum compression permanent deformation, the fastest curing speed, the higher degree of crosslinking efficiency and the degree of crosslinking. But the related basic research is lack, which is not conducive to the further optimization of the properties of CM curing adhesive. Therefore, it is very important to develop the application of peroxide curing system in CM crosslinking, and expand the application range of CM in rubber industry. The main contents of this paper include:1. Firstly, peroxides crosslinking systems of Chlorinated polyethylene rubber (CM) were studied. Among them, dicumyl peroxide (DCP), Bis(tert-butyldioxyisopropyl) benzene (BIPB) and 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane (DBPMH) were used as crosslinking agents. Triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC), triallyl cyanurate (TAC) and trimethylol propane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA) were acted as coagents. Besides, White carbon black (SiO2), light calcium carbonate, talcum powder and magnesium hydroxide were used as fillers. The influences of these components on the curing characteristic and mechanical properties of CM elastomer were studied in detail. The results suggest that, when curing system is consist of BIPB/TAIC (mass ratio=2.5/3), CM can be cured more quickly, and the cured CM rubber have better mechanical performance. Moreover, after the addition of inorganic fillers, the curing rate of CM is decreased. In addition, The reinforcing effect of inorganic fillers is different greatly, and when CM is filled with SiO2, cured samples with higher strength can be fabricated.2. Secondly, using no rotor rheometer as a means, Bis(tert-butyldioxyisopropyl) benzene (BIPB),2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane (DBPMH) two kinds of novel peroxide vulcanizing agent, Based of the measured vulcanization curve and curing parameters at 150~180 centigrade, then comparative with traditional peroxide crosslinking agent dicumyl peroxide (DCP) for the study the curing kinetics process and the kinetic parameters of the two systems. The results showed that the BIPB and DBPMH of CM curing process were similar with the DCP, can be divided into curing induction period, heat curing period and flat vulcanizing period in three stages, three kinds of vulcanizing agent of CM optimum vulcanization temperature are about 160 centigrade. The curing rate of BIPB and DBPMH at each stage of CM was lower than that of DCP, and the activation energy of the reaction of each stage was DCP< BIPB< DBPMH.3. Finally, different kinds of fillers and different heat stabilizer curing recipes of vulcanization characteristics and vulcanizate of mechanical properties was studied. At the same time, different particle size of mica and different kinds of antioxidant vulcanized recipes of vulcanization characteristics and vulcanizate of mechanical performance was system research. The results showed, when stabilizer was compound calcium and zinc, the torque difference was maximum and the curing speed was fast, can effectively prevent the degradation of chlorinated polyethylene vulcanized rubber; after the addition of mica, vulcanization effect is obvious and fast curing speed, vulcanized rubber tensile strength was maximum and elongation at break was minimum. After the addition of antioxidant, chlorinated polyethylene compound maximum torque and curing rate decreases, before aging, the tensile strength of the chlorinated polyethylene compound was little difference; after aging, when antioxidant was RD, tensile strength and elongation at break of minimal change. When the dosage of antioxidant RD is 1, the rubber tensile strength and elongation at break of the change rate of minimum, anti aging effect is the best.
