Important eco-function regions refers to the areas which undertake water conservation, windbreak and sand-fixation, carbon sequestration and Biodiversity maintenance, they play an important role in maintaining ecological balance, promoting social and economic sustainable development.In this paper, the author takes Zhexi important eco-function region as the research object, bases on RS&GIS techniques and the remote sensing investigation and evaluation of ecological environment data in zhejiang province database, not merely does comprehensive analysis of ecosystem landscape, ecosystem quality, ecosystem service, but also researchs present situation and the change characteristics of ecological environmental stresses of Zhexi important eco-function region in ten years from 2000 to 2010, and then give integrated evaluation of the ecological environment changes in this decade. The results of the research are as follows:In terms of ecosystem landscape, ecosystem types of Zhexi important eco-function region are mainly forest, next are farmland and wetlands. The urbanization level of Zhexi important eco-function region is low, but urban land grows rapid in the decade, mainly occupies farmland and forest, grassland, wetland, etc in the process of expansion, which lead to the sustained decrease of natural ecosystem area in Zhexi important eco-function region.In the decade, ecosystem converting speed of all types and levels is accelerating, trend of landscape pattern is agglomeration.In general, the trend of ecosysterm landscape is to be better.In terms of ecosystem quality, the relative biomass density of forest ecosystems is given priority to with low and intermediate in Zhexi important eco-function region. Forest quality is low, but has large improvement. Vegetation coverage is high quality level primarily, the proportion is as high as 90%, fells slightly in the decade. Net primary productivity also has a slight decline.In terms of ecosystem service, the biological habitat quality is good generally, given priority to with high quality grade. Biological diversity maintaining function is strong, remains stable basically, fells slightly in the decade. Carbon and water conservation function is given priority to with superior level, remains stable basically, lifts slightly from 2000 to 2010.In terms of ecological menace, the population density increased slightly in Zhexi important eco-function region in the decade, the growth of urban population and GDP density is obvious, social economy develops rapidly, pollutant emission intensity also rises. On the whole, the intimidation that human activities on the ecological environment grows noticeably.In terms of integrated evaluation of the ecological environment, ecosystem quality, service and pattern turn for the better sustainable in Zhexi important eco-function region from 2000 to 2010, but the intimidation that human activities on the ecological environment is also in the growing. On the whole, the Zhexi important eco-function region protection effect is obvious, ecological environment comprehensive quality is high grade, remains stable basically.
